The Division is deeply involved in the development of new processes for industrial applications. In addition the laboratory support the manufacturing of small GMP lots for drug development.

The R&D group consists of 8 chemists. In addition a strong relationship with outside group and the Milan University allows to utilize the most modern analytical equipment.

A pilot plant with glass lined and stainless steel reactors from 400 to 3000 liters is available for scale up and custom synthesis.

The Pilot Plant has been approved by the Italian Ministry of Health for intermediates and API.
The following equipment is available:

  • 15 m3 overall reactor capacity
  • Stainless steel and glass lined reactors from 400 to 3000 liters
  • High and low working temperatures (-100 to +250°C)
  • Hydrogenation under pressure (up to 6 bar)
  • Reactions under pressure (up to 6 bar)
  • Centrifuges
  • Tray dryers
  • Mixers, milling and filling machines
  • Ion-exchange chromatography
  • Membrane filtration systems
